For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory (the Presence) of God…we know the whole creation has been groaning
Romans 3:23; 8:22

Welcome to Spring’s Revival: Knowing the Beauty of Renewed Life.  I am excited you have joined us here at Titus Women E-News to glean from His Word and enjoy His presence together. The essence of true life and beauty is born, nourished and reproduced from a center filled with the life-giving Spirit of God (Genesis 2:7; John 6:63).

In the beginning, Adam and Eve chose to disbelieve the absolute Word of truth. With hearts that would not trust the Almighty God WHO IS love, they listened to the lie of Satan and in their disobedience tried to hide themselves from the Father’s presence. The Spirit of God, who breathed within them His beautiful Spirit of likeness, departed. No longer were they human beings filled with real life. No longer would they continue to dwell in the paradise where all things were created beautifully. Adam and Eve merely existed from the natural flesh in a world that was not right! Thus, the first need for revival began.

Our need for revival is why we have Christmas, Easter and Pentecost. We can now know, receive, be filled and overflow a fruitful, beautiful life that comes only through the Father, the blood of the Son and the continual pouring out of His Spirit into our spirit (John 7:38). Sadly, we are very prone to forget, neglect or refuse to draw from the inner well and when we do, we are found wanting, with great need: a revival in us, for life Himself-Jesus!

Spring offers visual reminders of renewed life, directing us to our Father’s loving provision for our need. “God so loved the world that He sent…. should not perish but have eternal life…God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life” (John 3: 16; I John 5:11, 12). We must never forget! In mankind’s first choice of distrust and disobedience, the entire human race is born with the inner need of revival, the absolute necessity of knowing the life of the Father flowing within his heart, soul, mind and strength.

Titus friends, there is not one of you who desires another list of “must do’s”. Titus exists to invite, encourage, enrich and remind you of the importance of knowing that every moment of every day may be founded, fed and filled IN HIS LIFE! The seasonal daily readings are not intended to give you “one more thing to do.” The suggested reading plan is in fact just that; a suggestion offered for finding more of Jesus in His written Word. For the next few weeks, I invite you to allow His Word and glorious presence to feed your only need: a life full of the living Lord Jesus. Then you will know the purpose of the season: renewal in knowing the Beauty of life – JESUS!

Spring’s Prayer Focus

This season is a beautiful opportunity to bring ourselves, our families, friends, churches, enemies and the world, before the throne of grace so all may know their desperate need of His life. Through prayer and our personal renewal may the Holy Spirit prepare hearts, giving the desire to receive the reviving work of the Holy Spirit and a fresh renewal in Jesus.

In your Spring’s Revival journal write down the names of your immediate family, beginning with your own name. His Word from Isaiah 43:6, 7; 46:22; 53:6 is a wonderful prayer: “Dear Jesus, Savior and life for all mankind. We the _______________ turn to you to be saved. For You are God, and there is no other. Our need is You. We repent of turning our own way and living in our own self-will. Forgive us of our sinful transgressions and cleanse our iniquity living without Your presence. Please pour Your life into ____________, who You are calling by name, a daughter /son whom You have created for Your glory, whom You have formed, even whom You have made! We believe this is the will of God. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

The Unchangeable, Unstoppable, Irresistible “Love Life” in God

Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, who lives from everlasting to everlasting…
Those who are wise will take all this to heart;
they will see in our history the faithful love of the Lord.

Psalm 106:48; 107:43 (NLT)

Well done, dear watchmen! You are wrapping up your 90 days of winter waiting in Jesus, with joy! Honesty is the fruit of truth. Thus, I must confess; not all of my 90 days were done with quiet, peace-filled joy. “Why was that?” I ask myself. The answer is always the same. I take my eyes off the faithful Lighthouse Who shines His radiant light towards the path of safety. Instead, I focus on the waves beating against the stone – me! Peter reminds us we are living stones building the most unmovable, unshakable, indestructible temple for the purpose of carrying the presence of the JESUS, the master architect  (See I Peter 2:5). I must never ever forget that the archenemy of God is constantly sending unmerciful waves crashing against my one seemingly worthless little stone. But God’s temple cannot be moved when every rock is held firmly in place with unchanging, relentless, unfailing love in the master builder’s own nail pierced hands.

Where I live, winter is long, cold, dark and most of the time very wet, a season of dormancy with little evidence of life. However, underneath all the snow covered soil, deep within the caves and hollow logs you will find sleeping, but very much alive creatures waiting and watching for the finger of God to press upon them “the hour to awaken has come!” The Biblical truths gleaned from nature’s cycles of life all point to the same truth! God is not dead! He neither slumbers nor sleeps and He never forgets His promise.

In this week’s closing Psalms of 106-107, the cause, choices and consequences of God’s forgetful and rebellious people are written in great and graphic detail. Our ancestors forgot God’s many acts of kindness. They forgot His mighty acts of rescue from their enemies, redemption from their foes and they forgot who their Savior was. They wouldn’t wait for His godly counsel but traded their glorious God for a statue of a grass-eating bull. What made them so careless? The same sin of all mankind: unbelief in His absolute Word and not believing that absolute goodness of living IN His presence. The people refused to enter the pleasant land, for they wouldn’t believe His promise to care for them. Instead, they grumbled in their tents and refused to obey the Lord (Psalm 106:24 NLT). Oh, the awful sin of disbelief: Yahweh won’t be who He says He is – ENOUGH!

Yes, winter is long, watching is tedious, waiting is exasperating and worship involves sacrifice. But, remember, the Father has promised to receive every sacrifice, hear every cry, save every tear. He already has a plan for every unseen answer to every prayer. From everlasting to everlasting He lives, He loves, and He is the light that shines in the darkness. Is it important that I remember this truth? You better believe it! From Genesis to Revelation death comes when all mankind chooses to forget He is absolute love, goodness, truth and life. When even one decibel of our hearing is tuned towards the lies of His archenemy, words like “God doesn’t really mean what He says. He is withholding something good from you. You cannot trust Him. Go ahead and do it on your own,” we are in trouble! Sin is crouching at our door!

Two evenings ago I was writing in my journal. “Jesus, I have a bad case of the ‘I’m tired-of’s.’” I proceeded to list all that I was tired of. I didn’t even have the chance to answer myself. Jesus interrupted; ‘Linda, you are about to begin the new season of spring. In man’s time, on March 20th you begin the start of the new E-news “Spring’s Revival: The Beauty of Renewed Life!” You need not wait for spring. I have no calendar. Be renewed now in the presence of the One who is revival.’”

Will you join me now and allow Him to search, reveal and cleanse any unbelief in our hearts caused by the crashing waves that seem to declare our prayers have not been heard! I surely do not want to miss living in the “pleasant land” of His abiding, loving presence. When doubt tries to raise its ugly head and grumbling begins in my tent, by His power of agape love and grace, I will resist and rejoice In Him with a grateful heart.

No wave, worry, or will, can change the reality of WHO JESUS IS! ENOUGH! Remember, it is always darkest before the dawn. Stand on His promises! Look to His light! Remain in His love! Listen for His voice saying “awake” and live. Faith will become sight! Spring is always just around the corner.

My heart is confident in you, O God;
no wonder I can sing your praises with all my heart!

Psalm 108:1(NLT)

 ….and give Him no rest until He establishes and makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
Isaiah 52: 7
Of all of the books in the Bible, there is no other that neither breaks my heart more, nor gives my heart more hope, than Isaiah. It had been over seven hundred years since the great, historic Exodus of Abraham’s people from the  iron-smelting furnace  of Egypt (Deuteronomy 4:20).  Before the Exodus, there had been another seven hundred years of hearing God’s voice, receiving His provision, care and covering in the midst of numerous wars, captivities, droughts, and famines. In spite of a thousand years of God’s faithfulness, the people of Israel were still clueless as to why God had chosen them as His people. Listen to the heart of God;  An ox knows its owner and a donkey its master’s manger, but Israel does not know, My people do not understand…they have despised the Holy One of Israel, They have turned away from Him…  (Isaiah 1: 3,4b).

But before I become critical and quick to see their error, I must remind myself of the “rest of the story!”  The Messiah has come! Emanuel – God with us- has appeared, lived, paid the blood price, is resurrected and lives to intercede for you and me at the right hand of God the Father. Two thousand years later we are still facing an incredibly dark world. The USA, a country founded on Godly principles, worship, and freedom, is floundering because the correct center and purpose has been lost. Is it possible we, like Israel, still do not understand God’s heart for mankind?

We certainly receive a brilliant beam of hope from this week’s reading in Isaiah.  For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not keep quiet, until her righteousness goes forth like brightness, and her salvation like a torch that is burning. The nations will see your righteousness, and all kings your glory…  (Isaiah 62:1, 2a). Can you believe this declaration? Can he possibly be speaking of the same people described in chapter 1?

Isaiah’s understanding of God’s heart enabled him to persevere in proclaiming truth to an obstinate, stiff-necked people. This understanding came through his own experience of seeing the Holy God, high and lifted up. When he received his personal cleansing, Isaiah was freshly assured that the Hesed/Holy, incessant love of God never ends. The Holy Spirit inspired Isaiah to write of God’s redeeming plan. In looking toward the cross, Isaiah wrote one of the clearest, most beautiful prophecies of God’s divine purpose for all who answer the Messiah’s call:  Bring My sons from afar and My daughters from the ends of the earth, Everyone who is called by My name, and whom I have created for My glory, Whom I have formed, even whom I have made (Isaiah 43:6, 7).

Like the nation of Israel, we too are called to know the Almighty God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob – intimately – through His Son Jesus, our Savior. We are also called to worship His presence at the very center of our living. No longer in tents made with hands, the Father invites us to offer our heart, mind, soul and body as His home. When Jesus gives us a clean heart and fills our temple with His Holy Spirit, the “power of His Agape love,” we too are compelled to go, tell and live the way because we have the Way – HIM!

Though we are on the homeward stretch to the finish line of this year’s Winter Watch, we must not weaken in waiting for thefloral paper or parchment Father’s Word and the second coming of Jesus. He is coming, not to bear a cross, but to wear the Crown as King of Kings, Lord of Lords. He comes to receive unto Himself, not a nation, but His bride. We have a huge privilege, responsibility and appointment for such a time as this in history. Let us join Isaiah in praying:  On our walls, O Jerusalem (church), we have been appointed watchmen; all day and all night we will never keep silent. We, who remind the Lord, take no rest for ourselves; and give Him no rest until He establishes and makes Jerusalem/His Church a praise in the earth (Paraphrase of Isaiah 62: 6,7).  And they will call them, ‘the holy people, the redeemed of the Lord’; and you will be called, ‘Sought out, a city not forsaken Isaiah 62:12

Oh Father, please keep me in Jesus. Fill me continually with Your love and goodness through the Holy Spirit. Grant me I pray, a heart like Yours with an unrelinquishing, unquenchable desire for Your church to be filled with Your glory. Only through Your blood and our living in Your abiding holy covenant love of Jesus will a lost world desire to be reconciled to You Father and become Your pure bride… a church made a praise in the earth. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Church! Keep Your Watch!
