52 Days of Prayer: Day 13

Celebrate Daily

The Lord said to Moses, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘These are my appointed festivals, the appointed festivals of the Lord, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies. Leviticus 23:1-2

Find a way to celebrate today.

  • Take time to watch a sunrise or sunset and celebrate.
  • Sit quietly in a park or by a stream of water and celebrate as you meditate.
  • Return to the place of your salvation or sanctification or a recent spiritual renewal and celebrate.
  • Sing and celebrate.

Turn Scripture into a Prayer: Leviticus 23

Dear God, I read in Leviticus where you spoke to Moses and appointed a number of feasts to be observed as sacred assemblies and celebrations. I can see that the feasts you proclaimed were to be joyous occasions celebrating past acts of God while giving hope for the future. I too want to celebrate Your work in my life and the hope I have for the future. Thank You for the gift of salvation and for salvation history that weaves its way throughout the pages of the Old Testament into the New Testament in the life of Jesus and His followers. I count it a high privilege to be among His followers and celebrate daily His work in my life. Amen.1
