52 Days of Prayer: Day 18

Forgive Freely

Pray specific prayers for forgiveness, and pray blessings prayers on all those you have forgiven. If someone comes to your mind, but you cannot yet honestly forgive, ask God to help you want to forgive. If no one specific came to your mind, ask God to help you always have a forgiving spirit. Thank God for His forgiveness to you.

Turn Scripture into a Personal Prayer: But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.  Luke 6:35-38

Dear Jesus, Master Forgiver, only by your power can I forgive and refrain from judging, criticizing, and condemning others. Help me to see people through Your eyes. Give me a heart of compassion and forgiveness. Amen.1
