Formulate a Mission Statement
Do you have a personal mission statement? If you do not, this may be the day to begin writing one. Using the questions and guidelines given in week 39 of Simply Praying, you could prayerfully start the process. For more detailed information, read The Path by Laurie Beth Jones.
If you already have a personal mission statement, review it. Evaluate your present activities against this mission. Do they correlate? Make prayerful adjustments if needed. Evaluate all jobs you accept and tasks you choose to do against your personal mission statement. It will give you direction and a sense of purpose for your life.
Turn Scripture into a Personal Prayer: (Ephesians 4)
Dear God, I know you have given me special gifts and abilities to use for Your glory and have called me to join You in Your work. May I live a life worthy of Your calling. I must have Your help. I want to become more and more like You and use my gifts to encourage others to use their talents to glorify and praise You. Amen1
