52 Days of Prayer: Day 44

Say Thank You

I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding.  For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation—the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ—for this will bring much glory and praise to God. (Philippians 1:9-11)

List ten or more thank yous to God. Continue throughout the day repeatedly saying, “Thank you, God,” either aloud or in your thoughts. “Thank you, God, for the sunshine, for ice cream cone, for that encouraging word from my coworker, for a new day, life, breath.” Also, concentrate on making this a day of extending thanks to family members, friends, co-workers, neighbors, even strangers.

Turn Scripture into a Personal Prayer: (Philippians 1:9-11)

Dear Jesus, It is a great joy to pray for the saints you have allowed to cross my pathway. You know the ones for whom I am praying today. I pray that my love for them and their love for You may abound. Give us knowledge and discernment. Help us to see clearly the difference between right and wrong and to be clean on the inside. Fill us with the fruit of righteousness that comes through You that God may be glorified and praised. Thank You for your abundant blessings! Amen1
