Locate someone who is in trauma, and ask God to give you a creative way to extend a gift to that person or family. Pray for that troubled individual. Prayer is a gift.
Read Matthew 2:1-12. The Magi, often called wisemen, brought gifts to Jesus and worshiped Him. Ask God to make you wise and discerning and to teach you how to worship Him. Kneel before Him now. Allow Him to search the deep corners of your heart and reveal truth to you. Pray a prayer of repentance if He reveals any area of disobedience, pride, or un-Christlike attitudes. Give Him thanks for a cleansed heart. Ask God to align your faith with His Word. Offer Him the gift of yourself.
Turn Scripture into a Personal Prayer: My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.John 10:10b and Isaiah 61:1-3
Giver of Life, Thank You that You came to give abundant life. Thank You for bringing good news to me and for comforting my broken heart. Thank You for freedom from sin. Thank You for eternal life. Although I appreciate all Your blessings and gifts, help me not to worship the gifts You give, but to worship You, THE GIFT! Amen1
