52 Days of Prayer: Day 52

Reflect on the Past Fifty-Two Days

Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting.

Psalm 139:23-24

  • Reread your journal for the past fifty-two days if time permits.
  • Make a list of some of the spiritual lessons you have learned on this prayer journey.
  • Write a letter to God giving Him thanks for the lessons He has taught you.
  • Commit yourself anew to partner daily with God in His Kingdom work.

Read Matthew 11:28-30:

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me, and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” (Matthew 11:28-30 – The Message)

Turn Scripture into a Personal Prayer: (Psalm 139:23-24 and Matthew 11:28-30)

Dear Heavenly Father,

         I have given You permission to examine my heart and show me anything that displeases You. There is freedom in allowing You to search me and know my heart, You who created me and delicately formed me. You know when I am tired and weary and need rest. For this reason I can lift my burdens to You knowing that You will help me carry them and, thus, lighten my load. Thank you for all You have taught me. You have called my name. I will never be the same! Amen1

52 Days of Prayer:Day 51

Pursue Your Vision

Ask God to reveal to you His vision and purpose designed especially for you. Allow God to expose any inner desire He has implanted that you have been ignoring because of fear or personal weaknesses.Ask Him to give you the faith and strength to accomplish this goal.

Memorize the verse: “Without faith it is impossible to please God.” (Hebrews 11:6) Realize that God sized assignments require faith. Take steps to obey His leading.

 Turn Scripture into a Personal Prayer:   (II Corinthians 12:9) And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. and Hebrews 11:6: But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Dear God, You have fulfilled Your promise to take my weaknesses and give me Your strength many times in my life as I have followed Your call. Even so, I sometimes have a fearful heart when You give me a new assignment. I want to have faith and please You for any future God-sized task. Implant Your vision within my heart. May it burn within me as by faith I walk forward to please You. Amen1

52 Days of Prayer:Day 50

Invest in Your Dreams

  • When you awaken from a dream, pray for the persons in your dream if you remember their names.
  • Ask God if He has any message to reveal to you through your dreams.
  • Give distressing dreams to God and ask Him to remove them from your memory.
  • Pray before going to sleep that God will guard your dreams.

 Turn Scripture into a Personal Prayer: (Matthew 1:18- 2:14 and Genesis 40:8)

Holy Spirit, I do not pretend to understand dreams, yet I believe there are times You have a message for me through my dreams. I give You permission to interpret my dreams for me; and when You do, I want to be like Joseph and immediately obey if there is some action You direct me to take. I will continue to pray for the individuals who appear in my dreams. If there is someone You want to lay on my heart, I am willing. Amen1
